Luís Santana Obituary

Luís Alexander Santana, 48, of New Haven, died peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved son of Hector Luís Santana and Elsie Vega Lugo of Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico. Luís was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on October 27, 1973, and had resided in New Haven for the past forty one years. He was a truck driver and tow truck operator for nine years, having worked for P. Diana & Sons, Ice Co. of New Haven and Auto Sales on State Street, Hamden. Luís is also survived by three daughters, Chelisa, Ivana and Ciara Santana, three sons, Tristian, Malik and Bryce Santana, one sister, Kathy Santana, and three grandchildren, Aubreelis García Santana, Joshy García, Jr. and Yulianis García Santana, all of New Haven. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his son Luís Segui. Luís' family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
