Lucy Raffile Obituary

On October 20, 2023, Lucy Raffile, passed away at the age of 74. Lucy was a long-standing resident of 51 years in Northford, Connecticut, raising her three children in this rural town along with her husband Dean Raffile, Sr. (predeceased). Lucy’s surviving children are Dean Raffile, Jr. and wife Sarah, Rachel Walker and her husband Kristoffer, and Christopher Raffile.

Lucy, originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was born to Lucy Passeri Andreoni (predeceased) and Alfonso John Andreoni (predeceased). Lucy worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for her children, first as a stay-at-home mother, and then, as an Office Manager for various companies in local communities. Lucy had a passion for education, and she led by way of example for her children by regularly attending Middlesex Community College. This had the added benefit of enhancing her professional skills, which enabled her to remain marketable in the workplace.

Lucy was proud of her Italian heritage, most notably her cooking traditions. Her family raved about her home-made lasagna and meatballs and looked forward to her delicious meals each holiday season. Lucy was also a lover of animals, adoring and taking care of various cats and dogs during her lifetime. And, Lucy was an exceptional singer, first singing for the USO in her teens and then gracing church choirs for years with her angelic voice.

Lucy was extremely proud of her grandchildren, Austin Speir Raffile, Katelyn Walker, Ryan Walker, and Dean Stroud-Raffile (in order of birth). Lucy was the beloved sister of Amadio Rocco Andreoni (predeceased) and Maryann Andreoni Wroblewski. Lucy is also survived by her brother-in-law, Arthur Raffile, III, sisters-in-law, Nancy Raffile and Bonnie Ascenzia, cousin Cynthia Roselli, as well as eleven nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held in a future month by family and friends.
