Lucille Rose P. Minore, 97, of North Haven, CT passed away on Friday, September 1st, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 13th, 1925 in Hamden, Connecticut to the late Angela Rose and Frank Pascarella, and was the youngest of eight. She was a longtime resident of Hamden, but has resided in North Haven for the past twenty three years with her family.
Growing up, she helped to run her family grocery store, Pascarella’s Market, then moved on to work at several food businesses, serving as manager before her retirement.
She is survived by her three children, Jennifer Minore and her life partner Mariann Warner, Michael Minore and his husband David O’Connell and Leslie (Minore) Rosello and her husband Kenneth Rosello. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Taylor Ann Rosello.
Lucille, who wore many hats darning the names “Mom,” “Ma,” “Mimi,” “NuNu,” “Mrs. Minore,” and “Aunt Lu” to many, was a prayerful, faithful and highly devoted individual to her children, family and friends. Furthermore, she was an incredibly generous, kind, genuine, strong and hardworking woman with an infectious smile who had a passion for music, and a flair for the culinary arts. She never failed to open up her home to anyone who walked in the door, never wasting a second to offer them something to eat. She loved to entertain, celebrate holidays, shop for groceries (especially at Costco), travel and dance.
Lucille had a gift for turning a bad day into something special, never failing to flip any frown into a smile. If anyone ever needed to talk, Lucille was there with sympathy and wisdom; something that all those she has touched will carry on in memory.
Being the youngest of eight, Lucille was predeceased by Katherine Eadvito, Antoinette Russo, Elizabeth Izzo, Marion DiRienzo, Josephine Camarota, Dominic Pascarella and Ann Massaro.
Lucille’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 7th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, September 8th at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
