Lucille Palmieri Amodio, 99, of Wallingford, and Bonita Springs, Florida, loving wife of the late Dominic Amodio for 68 years, passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 14, 2024 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Lucille was born in New Haven, December 20, 1924, the daughter of the late Gabriel and Anna (Fusco) Palmieri Sr. and was a Wallingford resident for the past 70 years. She had been employed by the Wallingford Board of Education until her retirement.
Lucille is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Gross and her husband Robert (Hy), and Doreen Palmer and her husband Walter (Dusty) all of Wallingford; her two grandsons Dustin Dominic and Christopher Palmer; her great grandson Bryan Dominic Palmer; her sister-in-law Helen Palmieri of North Haven; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Amodio; and her brother Gabriel Palmieri.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave, North Haven, Monday, April 22, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. until 10: 30 a.m., when the funeral cortege will proceed to the Church of the Resurrection, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
