Lorraine Doll Obituary

Lorraine Ann Fappiano Doll, 90, of North Haven, CT died peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Masonicare, Wallingford. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Francis Doll. Lorraine was born in New Haven on October 24, 1933, a daughter of the late Carmen and Justine Onofrio Fappiano, and had resided in New Haven for most of her life before moving to North Haven in 2020. She was a loving, caring person whose family always came first. Lorraine is also survived by two daughters, Mary Ryan (William) of Old Saybrook and Linda Orio (David) of West Haven, two sons, Louis Gambardella of North Haven and Carmen Gambardella (Aixa) of Guilford, one brother, Carmen Fappiano (Annette) of Cozy Beach, FL, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Ralph Gambardella, her daughter Justine Gambardella, two sisters Mary DeMenna and Josephine Spamer, her brother Joseph Fappiano, and her grandson Raphael Gambardella PR3, USN. Everyone is invited to go directly to St. Barnabas Church (St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish), 44 Washington Ave., North Haven on Thursday, April 4th for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. A committal service will follow at Christ of the Cross Columbarium, All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
