Lizbeth Medina Gutierrez

Lizbeth Medina Gutierrez, 25, of New Haven, CT died peacefully Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, York St. Campus with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of seven years to Luís Davíd Mata. Lizbeth was born in Los Reyes, Michoacan, México on August 9, 1998, a daughter of Jesús Medina Barreto and Alejandra Gutierrez Torres of New Haven, and had resided in New Haven for the past twenty three years. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her mother-in-law Silvia Castro, two sisters, Yuliana Alejandra Medina Gutierrez and Leissamarie Medina Gutierrez, two nieces, Mariangelys Maldonado and Kenia Aguilar, one nephew, Julian Aguilar, all of New Haven, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Lizbeth's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 5th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Saturday, July 6th at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church (Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish), 397 Ferry St., New Haven.
