Liliana Carnale Tempesta, 88 of Orange died peacefully on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Madison House, Madison, CT. Liliana was born in Supino, Province of Frosinone, Italy on August 23, 1932, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Annunziata Cerilli Carnale. She came to the U.S in 1965 and lived in New Haven for a short time before moving to West Haven where she resided for forty years before moving to Orange in 2008. Liliana was a long-time employee of the former Soundview Convalescent Home of West Haven, and was a long-time member of the San Cataldo Society of New Haven. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Stankye and her husband Robert Stankye, Jr. of Orange, her son, Joseph Tempesta and his wife Darlene of Westbrook, one sister, Aldina Crocce of Rome, Italy, four grandchildren, Olivia and Catherine Tempesta, and Robert Stankye, III and Anthony Stankye, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Rosina Bianchi Fasani and her brother Eraldo Carnale. Liliana’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 15th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Friday, July 16th at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated in Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Rd., Orange at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Orange Center Cemetery. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
