Leslie Ann Cruz, 32 of Hamden, formerly of West Haven and New Haven died suddenly at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. Leslie was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 24, 1990 a daughter of Ana Irma Cruz of Milwaukee. She grew up in Humacao, Puerto Rico, lived in New Haven for sixteen years, West Haven for two years and had just recently moved to Hamden with her life partner Stephen J. Tamagni. She had recently begun working as a receptionist for ACES, North Haven, and had previously worked as a receptionist for Stony Creek Urgent Care for two years. Leslie is also survived by two daughters, Leslieanny Matos and Sophia Milian Cruz and a step-son, Oliver G. Tamagni of Hamden, three brothers, Raymond de la Rosa and his fiancé Yesibelle Meléndez of West Haven, and Hector Gabriel Valentín and Carlos Javier Valentín of Hamden, his maternal grandmother, Margarita Cruz of Humacao, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Leslie’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 2nd, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Iglesia Cristiana Estrella Resplandeciente de Jacob (Radiant Star of Jacob Christian Church), 185 Chapel St., New Haven. A funeral service will take place at the church on Saturday, December 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden.
