Julisa Marie Meyers, 21 of New Haven died suddenly on Sunday, September 6, 2020 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash on Middletown Avenue in New Haven. Julisa was born in New Haven on January 3, 1999, the beloved daughter of Clarisol Cortéz of New Haven and McKinley Meyers of Meriden, and was a life long New Haven resident. She attended Wilbur Cross High School, High School in the Community, and later attended night classes at West Haven High School. Julisa was employed in the warehouse department at Amazon in North Haven at the time of her death. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandparents Wilfredo Cortéz and Norma Albáran of Utuado, Puerto Rico, her paternal grandmother Alice Meyers of West Haven, two sisters, Eyecenia Suarez of East Haven and Jessica Cortéz of New Haven, five brothers, William (Amanda) Suarez of Middletown, and José Fret, Angel (Luz) Cortéz, Dionis Herrera and Isaiah Vázquez of New Haven, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
