Julio Carmona Obituary

Julio Carmona, 55, of New Haven, CT died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of twenty three years to Charlotte Kelly Carmona. Julio was born in Kingsville, Texas on August 12, 1968, a son of the late Enrique and Viola Gonzáles Carmona, and lad lived in Kingsville and Bishop, TX for twenty years before moving to New Haven in 1988. He was a biomedical engineer at St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport for the past five years, and previously worked for 454 Life Science of Branford for and additional five years. Julio was an avid fisherman and die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. He especially loved spending time with family and friends. In addition to his wife Charlotte, Julio is survived by a son, Noe Christopher Kelly Carmona of New Haven, two step-sons, Joseph (Megan Carroll) DeLeone of East Haven and Jason (Stephanie Canapari) DeLeone of West Haven, two sisters, Norma (Robert García) Alaniz of Sarita, TX and Amy (Peter Solís) Carmona of Albin, TX, three brothers, Henry (Teresa) Carmona, Jr. of Kingsville, Leo Carmona of Bishop and Arturo (Chris) Carmona of San Antonio, TX, a beloved granddaughter Lillian DeLeone, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Noe and Ruben Carmona. Julio's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, December12th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. HIs funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Wednesday, December 13th for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bernadette Church (St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish), 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven.
