Juan Carlos Peña

Juan Carlos Peña, 63, of New Haven, CT died peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, York St. Campus with his loving family by his side. Juan was born in Lares, Puerto Rico on March 5, 1962, a son of the late Joaquín Martínez Chico and the late Obdulia Peña and had resided in Lares for most of his life before moving to New Haven in 2006.Prior to his illness he was a self employed carpenter for many years in both Lares and New Haven. 

Juan is survived by two daughters, Carla Chico of Lares and Kaira Chico of Bridgeport, two sons, Juan Carlos Chico and Jean Chico, both of Lares, ten sisters, two brothers, eight grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services for Juan Carlos were private and entrusted to the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. washingtonmemorialfh.com
