Juan Vega Martínez, 96, of Milford, CT, formerly of New Haven, CT died peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Bridgeport Hospital, Milford Campus. He was the beloved husband of Epifania Hernández Vega. Juan was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on January 14, 1928, a son of the late Ramón Vega and the late Dolores Martínez and had resided in New Haven for more than sixty years before moving to Milford in 2014. He was a leadman at the former Leahman Bros. Co. of New Haven for forty six years and Newton Die Casting Co, of North Haven for two years, retiring in 1995. Juan is also survived by two daughters, Bernice (Paul) Looney of North Haven and Rose Marie Vega-Bradley of New Haven, a son, Juan Antonio Vega of Milford, eight grandchildren, Lamar and Latoya Cradle, Juan Muse, Hope Vega, Teresa Jackson, Rosie Bradley, Hope Looney and Paul Looney, Jr., eight great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Aureliano Vega and Ramón Vega.
