Joseph Marshall Antonio, 95, of Woodbridge, CT died peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Milford Hospital. Joe was born in New Haven, CT on February 18, 1929, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Caracciolo) Antonio and had resided in Woodbridge for most of his life. He worked for the former Fluids Control Co. of Hamden for twenty five years, retiring in 1995. Joe proudly served in the U.S. Army shortly after WWII with the occupation forces in Italy. He received several accommodations including the Good Conduct Medal and Occupation Wartime Medal. He was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, and an avid golfer who played for many years at Meadowbrook Golf Course and Laurel View Country Club in Hamden. Joe is survived by his brother Robert Antonio of Lawrence, KS and cousin Tara (John) Carey of Wallingford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Joe on Tuesday, January 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Parish, 81 Center Road, Woodbridge. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
