José Antonio Laureano, 67, of Bridgeport, formerly of New Haven died peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lourdes Morales. José was born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico on January 12, 1955, a son of the late Antonio Laureano and the late Eleuteria Roman. He moved from Naguabo to Chester, Pennsylvania as a child where he lived for several years, then resided in New Haven, CT for most of his life before moving to Bridgeport three years ago. José was a machine operator for several New Haven area construction companies, as well as in the Philadelphia area previously for more than twenty years. He later worked at the Elm City Cheese Co., Hamden for several years. José is also survived by two daughters, Eva (Jack) Laureano Martínez of Orlando, FL and Lourdes Ibet (Joshua) Guerrero Laureano of Lawrence, MA, four sons, José R. (Carlotta) Morales of Hamden, David (Erica Torres) Laureano of New Haven, Alexy (Desiree) Laureano of Temecula, CA and Andrew Laureano of Lawrence, MA, two sisters, Eva Laureano of New Haven and Mymarlee Negrón of Philadelphia, one brother, Hector (Lucy) Laureano of Meriden, fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Angel Luís Laureano and William Roman, and a granddaughter, Angelina Martínez. José's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
