José Luís Albarrán, Sr.

José Luís Albarrán, Sr., 63 of New Haven died suddenly at his home on Saturday, October 9, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Melissa Seguí. José was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on March 19, 1958, a son of the late José Albarrán and the late Luisa Rodríguez. He had resided in New Haven for the past forty five years, and was a retired auto mechanic .José is also survived by eleven children, Marilyn (José Rivera) Albarrán and Marisol Albarrán of New Haven, and Joselyn Albarrán of West Haven, Luís and Samuel Albarrán of New Haven, Carissa Rivera of New Haven and Shyina and Jalissa Rivera of Tampa, FL, Wilson Vázquez, and Jesús Rivera, Jr. of New Haven and José (Elizabeth) Vázquez of Redding, PA, seven sisters, Miriam (Julio) Maldonado, Enilda (Andrés) López, Gladys (Mario) Pérez, Nereida Torres and Auria Torres of West Haven, Ana Torres of New Haven and Iris Albarrán of Utuado, four brothers, Jorge (Damaris) Torres of New Haven, Jesús (Wendy) Torres and Arnando (Beth) Torres of West Haven, and José Anibal Albarrán of Buffalo, NY, twenty five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son José Luís Albarrán, Jr. José's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 15th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
