John Emilio Salgueiro, 31 of Hamden died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. John was born in New Haven on December 5, 1989, the beloved son of Juan Eduardo Salgueiro of New Haven and Veronica Cristina Signorelli of Hamden. He had resided in West Haven for twenty years before moving to Hamden eleven years ago. John was a 2008 graduate of Platt Technical High School of Milford, and for the past ten years was employed at Yale-New Haven Hospital in environmental services. In addition to his parents, John is survived by his loving life partner Malaya Leuansithivong and their children Isabella Amelia, Josiah Emilio and Sebastian Matias Salgueiro of Hamden, two sisters, Juliet Pisano and her husband Vincent of Orange and Christina Salgueiro of Hamden, his paternal grandparents Juan Salgueiro and Myriam Ordenes of El Tabo, Chile, his maternal grandparents Jorge Signorelli and Julieta Ortega of Santiago, Chile, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 5th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Burial will be private.
