John Ludovico Obituary

John Ludovico, 77, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2016, and former resident of Wallingford, CT passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 in Cape Coral. He was born April 29, 1944 in New Haven, CT to Benjamin and Philomena Ludovico, now deceased. John was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church of New Haven. He was best remembered for his unconditional love and pride for his family, as well as his undying love to his Boston Red Sox. John graduated from Hamden High School in 1962, and attended the University of New Haven where he obtained his BS degree. John began his career in sales as a factory representative with Broyhill Furniture. He then went on to become a highly successful agent for Allstate Insurance Co. In his retirement John resurrected his annual high school reunion, and ultimately created a website so all of his former classmates could remain in touch. His zeal to ensure their reunions would be well attended earned him the nickname “Noodge”. John was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being in the woods. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Georgia Ludovico of Cape Coral; two loving children, Brian Ludovico of Ivoryton, CT and Neal Ludovico of Branford, CT; brothers, Robert Ludovico (Beverly) of Ayer, MA, and Anthony Ludovico (Carol) of Mifflinburg, PA, grandchildren John, Alexa, Cole, and Tyler; several nieces and nephews; as well as Snowflake, his cat. John always said his greatest accomplishments were his two wonderful sons Brian and Neal, and his grandchildren. John’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 18th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven, CT. His funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Friday, November 19th at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Michael Church, 29 Wooster Place, New Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
