Johan Leonardo Pagán Pantoja, 39, of New Haven, Connecticut died peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, York St. Campus with his loving family by his side. Johan was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico on August 26, 1986, a son of Juan Pagán of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico and Maria Pantoja of New Haven, and had resided in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico for most of his life before moving to New Haven six years ago. He was employed at Calabro Cheese Co. of East Haven for two years prior to his illness.
In addition to his parents, Johan is survived by a son, Johancel Michele Pagán of Vega Baja, three daughters, Daisha Pagán and Shelian Pagán of Vega Baja and Janely Cintrón Vega of Isabela, Puerto Rico, three sisters, Marilourdes Pagán of Texas, Jacqueline Pagán of Boston, Massachusetts and Maria Angelica Pagán and her husband Wilberto Ortega of New Haven, two brothers, Juan Ramón Pagán and Carlos Manuel Pagán of Vega Baja, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Johan will take place in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. The Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven has been entrusted with local arrangements. washingtonmemorialfh.com
