Joan Theodora Vassallo Brunner, 80 of West Melbourne, FL, formerly of North Haven died peacefully on Sunday, August 1, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth H. Brunner, Sr. Joan was born in Woodridge, NJ on May 18, 1941, a daughter of the late Enrico and Maria Bianco Vassallo. She had resided in North Haven for more than forty years before moving to West Melbourne sixteen years ago. Joan worked for the US Postal Service in North Haven for over twenty years, retiring in 2005. She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Dell and Karin (Robert) Deming of Wallingford, one son, Kenneth H. (Suzanne) Brunner, Jr. of Warwick, RI, two sisters, Maryanne DiMaggio and Linda (Walter) Gahr of West Melbourne, two brothers, Anthony Vassallo of Alva, FL and Kenneth Vassallo of West Melbourne, five grandchildren, Dylan and Sophie Brunner, Jocelin Dell, and Christopher and Ryan Deming, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Gloria Vassallo. Funeral Services for Joan are private and have been entrusted to the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
