Jerri Ann (Dillard) Barber

Jerri Ann Dillard Barber, 77 of New Haven, CT, formerly of Roanoke, VA, died peacefully at her home in the presence of loving family members. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger Barber. Jerri was born in Roanoke on March 26, 1943, a daughter of the late Jerry and Willie Mae Spraggins Dillard, and had resided in New Haven for the past forty years. She worked in the mental health profession as a social worker, first with the State of Virginia, Department of Mental Health and later with Connecticut Mental Health of New Haven, retiring twenty years ago. Jerri's family wishes to acknowledge Myra Dixon and the Dixon Family, and Karen Butler and the Pappas Family for all the loving care and support bestowed upon Jerri. Jerri is survived by three daughters, Trina M. Craggett of Roanoke, and Lisa K. Craggett and Nichelle L. Barber of New Haven, her special cousin Wanda Spraggins of Charlotte, NC, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by two grandsons, Jason Craggett and Jacob Craggett. Jerri's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, February 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
