Jeanne A. (Rayhall) Reid

Jeanne A. (Rayhall ) Reid, 93, of Bloomfield, CT, formerly of North Haven, CT died peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Seabury in Bloomfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard G. Reid, Sr. Jeanne was born in Willimantic, CT on December 15, 1930, a daughter of the late Charles and Hazel (Jones) Rayhall, and had resided in North Haven for more than sixty years before moving to Bloomfield three years ago. She was a school teacher for thirty five years with the North Haven Public School System and later with the Middletown School System, retiring in 1986. Jeanne received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Willimantic State Teachers’ College (now E.C.S.U) and her Master’s Degree from Southern Connecticut State College (now S.C.S.U.) She is survived by her son Richard G. (Mary) Reid, Jr. of Windsor, CT and two beloved grandchildren, Daniel and Christopher Reid. She was predeceased by her sister Eva Shafer, and three brothers, Victor, Charles and Louis Reid.
