Javier Jaime Quinto Mendoza, 46, of New Haven, CT died suddenly at his home on the evening of Thursday, December 25, 2025. Javier was born in Lima, Perú on July 26, 1979, a son of Alejandro Quinto Canchanya and Isabela Mendoza Zorilla of Chozica, Perú, and had resided in New Haven for a total of twenty one years, including the past five years. He was a cook for several New Haven area restaurants.
Javier was a very soft spoken and peaceful man who enjoyed his work and cooking. He especially loved spending time with his beloved daughter Analis.
In addition to his parents, Javier is survived by his daughter Analis Quinto of New Haven, four sisters, Maria Teresa Salvatierra, Giovana Erica Quinto, Maribel Quinto and Daisy Yolanda Quispe Mendoza, and two brothers, Carlos Quinto and Julio Quinto, all of Chozica, and a brother Luís Salvatierra of Boston, MA. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Javier's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 2nd from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Funeral services and burial will take place in Chozica, Perú at a later date. washingtonmemorialfh.com
