Janet M. (Howard) Maturo, 82, of Hamden, loving wife of Frank G. Maturo, peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Janet was born in Seymour, CT., November 19, 1939, the daughter of the late Harry Howard and Madeline (Donlon) Howard and had been a Hamden resident for many years. She was a graduate of St. Raphael School of Nursing and the President of a highway safety and equipment corporation in Hamden, CT. for over 40 years. In addition to her devoted husband Frank “Gerard”, she is survived by her loving children Lynette Alcebo (Robert Rabinoff), Frank G. Maturo Jr. (Mary), Laura O’Sullivan (Shawn) and Scott Maturo (Christine), 8 grandchildren; Melissa Maturo, Matthew Alcebo, Frank G. Maturo III, Nicole Maturo, (Connor Jones) Amanda Maturo, Shawn O’Sullivan Jr., Kristen O’Sullivan and Natalie Maturo, her brother William Howard and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Raul Alcebo; and her brothers Robert Howard and Harry Howard. Janet’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave, North Haven, Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 9 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (St. Paul VI Parish), 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
