Jaime Meléndez Martínez, 58, of New Haven, CT died suddenly on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Jaime was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 19, 1966, a son of the late Elba Martínez, and had resided in Brooklyn for thirty four years before moving to New Haven twenty four years ago. He is survived by two sisters, Maria Ortíz and Carmen Martínez of Florida, one brother, Wilfredo Martínez of Plainfield, NJ and a host of extended family members including his cousin Luís A. Rivera and his wife Jeannie Pagán of New Haven. He is predeceased by his brother Luís Martínez.
