Ilson Pérez Vega

Ilson Pérez Vega, 88, of West Haven, CT, formerly of New Haven, CT died peacefully Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Ilson was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on January 26, 1935, a son of the late Felix Pérez and the late Julia Vega, and had lived in New Haven for most of his life before moving to West Haven last year. He worked for Simkins Industries of New Haven for thirty five years, retiring in 2003. Ilson is survived by two brothers, Federico Pérez of Vega Baja and Roberto (Gladys Santana) Pérez of West Haven, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by three sisters, Luz Maria, Isabel and Natividad Pérez and three brothers, Antonio, Felix and Dulcilio Pérez. Ilson's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 9th at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. washingtonmemorialfh.com
