Ilianita Berrocales

Ilianita Berrocales, 63 of New Haven died peacefully on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus with her loving family by her side. Ilianita was born in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico on August 12, 1958, a daughter of Esmeralda Ruíz of New Haven and the late Domingo Berrocales, and had resided in New Haven for the past twenty five years. She is survived by her daughter Emily Berrocales of New Haven, seven sons, Rolando Ruíz, Alejandro Berrocales, Samuel Alvárez, Josue Alvárez, Jean Carlos Alvárez and Xavier Alvárez of New Haven, and Domingo Ruíz of Lakeland, FL, five sisters, Aida Berrocales of Sabana Grande, and Raquel, Eva and Rebecca Berrocales, and Margarita Matos of New Haven, four brothers, Angel Domingo Berrocales of Sabana Grande, Felix Berrocales of San German, PR, and Wesley and Clay Berrocales of New Haven. She is also survived by many, many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marisol and Leticia Berrocales, and two brothers, David and Josue Berrocales. Ilianita's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 12th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella Grasso Blvd., New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
