Hwaja Park, 77, of West Haven, CT died peacefully at Yale-New Haven Hospital, York Street Campus on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Jong Suk Park. Mrs. Park was born in South Korea on July 28, 1946, a daughter of the late Changsik Ko and Ohnyeo Ham, and had resided in West Haven for a total of forty years, including the past fourteen, and had also lived in Orange for fourteen years. She was a parishioner of Holy Infant Church. Mrs. Park is survived by a daughter, Soonyo Kross of Derby, two sons, Sangweon (Aekyung) Park of Hamden and Soonweon (Hyunjoo) Park of North Haven, and six grandchildren, Danya and Amanda Kross, and Youngjin, Soojin, Jiyoung and Joonyoung Park. There will be no calling hours. Everyone is invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Monday, April 1st at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Rd., Orange. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. The Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven has been entrusted with arrangements. washingtonmemorialfh.com
