Humberto Rodríguez Obituary

Humberto “Tito” Rodríguez, 73, of North Haven, CT died peacefully at his home on Monday, June 10, 2024 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of forty seven years to Linda Lucy Díaz Rodríguez. Tito was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on March12, 1951, a son of the late Humberto Rosario and the late Carmen Alicia Rodríguez-Figueroa and had resided in the Bronx, NY for most of his life, New Rochelle, NY for twenty eight years, and had also lived in Stamford, CT for six years before moving to North Haven four years ago. He was the Assistant Superintendent at The Churchill in New York City for twenty eight years, retiring in 2014. Besides his wife Linda, Tito is survived by a daughter Serena D. (Andoni) Alberdi of North Haven, a son, Eric Joseph Rodríguez of Syracuse, NY, two brothers, Francisco (Migdalia Rosado) Toledo of the Bronx and Irving (Estela González-Figueroa) Figueroa of Johns Creek, GA, four grandchildren, Jasmine Maus, Melina Rodríguez, Alaina Rose Alberdi and Ava Isabella Alberdi, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including his niece Jennifer (Eric) Franco of Cumming, GA. He was also predeceased by his father who raised him Irving Figueroa.

Tito’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 13th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Tito’s funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Friday, June 14th at 9:45 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Barnabas Church (St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish), 44 Washington Ave., North Haven.
