Gustavo M. Gálvez

Gustavo M. Gálvez, 41 of New Haven, formerly of West Haven and Stratford died suddenly at his home on Saturday, April 3, 2021. Gustavo was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on October 8, 1979, a son of Lauriano Manuel Gálvez of the Bronx, NY and Iris Magali Olivence of New Haven. He had resided in West Haven for fourteen years before moving to New Haven last year, and had previously lived in Stratford for ten years. Prior to his disability, Gustavo was and auto body technician for Tony's Auto Body of Milford and later Breezy Point Auto Body of Stratford. Besides his parents, Gustavo is survived by three sisters, Eileen Ingrid (Every) Nunez of West Haven, Brenda Gálvez of Switzerland and Maria de los Angeles Gálvez of Santo Domingo, one brother, Edwin Manuel (Jazmin) Gálvez of Hamden, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gustavo's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 10th at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place during that time.
