Gloria Colón Rivera

Gloria Colón Rivera, 66, of North Haven, formerly of New Haven and Hamden died peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Gilberto Rivera. Gloria was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on April 1, 1956, a daughter of the late Adolfo Colón and the late Adelaida de Jesús. She had reisded in New Haven and Hamden for most of her life before moving to North Haven four years ago. She was a retired seamstress, having worked at various garment shops in the New Haven area. Gloria is also survived by two sons Adolfo (Enid) de Jesús of North Haven and Angel (Cristina) de Jesús of Hamden, four sisters, Evelyn Colón de Jesús and her husband Ludgardo Rodríguez of Hamden, Lexi Colón of Utuado, Puerto Rico, and Luz Minerva and Carmen Lydia Colón of Levittown, Puerto Rico, two brothers, José Luís (Annette) Colón de Jesús and Hector (Nilvia) Colón de Jesús of Utuado, eleven grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gloria's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 29th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services and burial will take place in Utuado, Puerto Rico at a later date. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
