Giuseppe Cofrancesco, 93, of Hamden, CT died peacefully at his home on Friday, January 30, 2026 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna (Floriano) Cofrancesco. Giuseppe was born in Gioia Sannitica, Province of Caserta, Italy on August 17, 1932, a son of the late Angelo and Maria Carmina (Lavorgna) Cofrancesco and had resided in Hamden for more than sixty years. He was a machinist at the Platt & Labonia Manufacturing Company of North Haven for twenty years, retiring in 1995.
Giuseppe is survived by his two daughters, Carmela (Angelo) D’Agostino of Hamden and Angela (Roger) Vandal of Wallingford, a son, Michael (Diane) Cofrancesco of Hamden, twelve grandchildren, Giovanni (Marion Boyd) D’Agostino, Joseph (Tara) D’Agostino, Olivia D’Antonio, Marcello D’Antonio, Michael Cofrancesco, Jr., Lisa, Joseph, Antonio, Anna, Alyssa, Giovanni and Aaliyah Cofrancesco, and fifteen great-grandchildren, Giana, Giovanni, Jr., Liliana, Gennaro, Jaxon, Jason, Alayna, Aiden, Aubriana, Ariana, Stephon, Laveyah, Kevionte, Miguel and Autumn. He was predeceased by his sister Ursola Cofrancesco and his brother Michele Cofrancesco.
Giuseppe’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, February 3rd from 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. His funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (St. Paul VI Parish), 2819Whitney Ave., Hamden. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
