Georgia B. Jackson, 91, of North Haven, CT, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 204. Georgia was the beloved wife of the late Jim Jackson, and mother of Kathy Graham of Arizona, Patty Jackson Marshall and husband, James of North Haven, and Amy Styles of Massachusetts. She was the cherished “Mommaw” of Michael Graham and partner Kate, Karin Glick and husband Mark, Melissa Graham, Sam Marshall and wife Maggie, Emma Picarelli and husband Tom, Annie Styles and Jim Styles.
Georgia worked as a teacher’s aid at Ridge Road School, and then as an Administrative Assistant for the Town of North Haven, Department of Public Works. She treasured the holidays, and having a crowded dinner table. She loved baking and cooking for Jim and her grandkids. They were her moon and her stars.
The family will celebrate Jim’s and Georgia’s lives at a private service in their beloved hometown of Romney, West Virginia; bringing them back down country roads. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the National WWII Memorial (wwiimemorialfriends.org) or to American Battle Monuments Foundation (ABMF.org). The Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven has been entrusted with arrangements. washingtonmemorialfh.com
