Gary Petrillo Obituary

Gary Michael Petrillo, Sr., 78, of Wallingford, CT formerly of North Haven, CT died peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Janet Arlene (Gasorek) Petrillo. Gary was born in New Haven on May 28, 1946, a son of the late Stephen A. and Rosemary (DeMichael) Petrillo and resided in North Haven for most of his life before moving to Wallingford in 1996. An electrician by trade, he was the manager of Emcor Electrical Group of Vernon, CT for seventeen years, retiring in 2012. He previously owned and operated GMP Electric of North Haven for many years. Gary was a 3rd Degree Knight and member of Knights of Columbus, Council 3733 of North Haven.  In addition to his wife Janet, Gary is survived by his daughter Jennifer Arlene (Brian) Nolan of Wallingford, a son Gary (Amy) Petrillo, Jr. of North Haven, and six grandchildren, Brian, Michael and Kaitlyn Nolan and Emily, Sophia and Jake Petrillo. He was predeceased by his brother Robert S. Petrillo.

There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to St. Barnabas Church (St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish), 44 Washington Ave., North Haven on Tuesday, August 13th for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
