Frank Gerard Maturo, Sr.

Frank Gerard “Jerry” Maturo, 86, of Hamden, CT died peacefully on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet Howard Maturo. Jerry was born in New Haven, CT on October 22, 1937, a son of the late Frank Anthony and Jennie Marone Maturo and was a lifelong Hamden resident. He was the owner and CEO of Highway Safety Co. of Hamden from 1969 to the present time. Jerry proudly served his country with the U.S. Army National Guard. He is survived by two daughters, Lynette (Robert Rabinoff) Alcebo of Wallingford and Laura (Shawn) O’Sullivan of Hamden, two sons, Frank Gerard (Mary) Maturo, Jr. and Scott M. (Christine) Maturo of Hamden, and eight grandchildren, Melissa Maturo, Frank Gerard Maturo, III, Nicole, Amanda and Natalie Maturo, Matthew Alcebo, Shawn O’Sullivan, Jr. and Kristen O’Sullivan. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Jackson. Jerry’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 25th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. His funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Tuesday, March 26th at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (St. Paul VI Parish), 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden.
