Frances J. Buehler died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the age of 99. Frances was born in New Haven, CT on November 12, 1922, the daughter of Salvatore and Sophia DeCarlo. She was a life long resident of North Haven, and former co-owner of Hamden Door Company. During WWII Frances worked as a draftswoman at the former Snow-Nabstedt Gear Corporation. She was trained at Paier College of Art as a fashion artist. Her husband Howard C. Buehler and her older siblings predeceased her; brothers: Charles, John and Victor DeCarlo and her sister Connee Paoloni. Frances is survived by her loving daughters: Donna Buehler and her husband Vladimir Drozdoff, Lori and Karen Buehler, Pamela Jones, and her granddaughter, Nicole Horvath and her husband Justin. Frances also leaves behind her wonderful live-in caregiver and companion Romaya Lawrence. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 27th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, March 28th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
