Felicitá Soto Sánchez Obituary

Felicitá Soto Sánchez, 58, of New Haven, CT died peacefully on Tuesday, May, 6, 2025 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, York St. Campus with her loving family by her side. Felicitá was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico on August 25, 1966, a daughter of Elba Sánchez of New Haven and the late Samuel Soto. She had resided in Coamo for most of her life and had lived in Raleigh, NC for three years before moving to New Haven ten years ago. 

In addition to her mother, Felicitá is survived by her daughter Marie Rios and her husband Eliezer Santiago of East Haven, twelve sisters, Maria Saldaña and Elba (Ramón) Sosa of Chicago, IL, Marilyn Vega and Marisely (Samuel Padilla) Vega of Coamo, and Madeline (Omar Meléndez) Vega and Marisol (José Luís Ortíz) Vega of New Haven,  Darlene Soto, Yaritza Soto and Maribel Soto of Springfield, MA and Brenda Soto and Marangeli Soto of Coamo, two brothers, Flor Ivan (Elida) Soto of Newark, NJ and Nelson Vega of New Haven, three grandchildren, Angel Collazo, Richel Gierbolini and Marielys Molina of New Haven, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Miguel Sánchez.

Felicitá's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, May 11th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Una Iglesia para la Cuidad, 99 East Pearl St., New Haven. A funeral service will take place at the church during visitation time. A second prayer service will take place at the church on Monday, May 12th at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
