Evelyn Costello

Evelyn Costello, 84, of New Haven, CT, formerly of Hamden, CT died peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2024 at The Mary Wade Home, New Haven. Evelyn was born in New Haven on June 18, 1939, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Helen Gneatak Costello. She had resided in Hamden for most of her life, and Derby for several years before moving to New Haven in 2011. Evelyn was a retired Yale University professor.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, June 24 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. The Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven has been entrusted with arrangements. washingtonmemorialfh.com
