Esteban Nieves, Jr.

Esteban "Stevie" Nieves, Jr., 43, of New Haven, CT died suddenly at his home on Tuesday, May 19, 2023. Esteban was born in Bridgeport, CT on February 18, 1980, a son of the late Esteban Nieves, Sr. and the late Awilda López, and had resided in New Haven for most of his life. He is survived by two brothers, Claudio (Renee) Nieves of Stratford and Gilberto (Michelle) Nieves of Bridgeport, one sister, Luisiana Calo of New Haven, his maternal grandmother, Maria Camacho of West Haven, his life partner Elizabeth Brown of New Haven, and many loving aunts including Maria (Byron Chun) Arvelo and Carmen Nieves of West Haven and Sonia Nieves of Bridgeport, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Kaylena Nieves, his maternal grandfather, Claudio López, and his paternal grandparents Gilberto and Felicita Flores Nieves. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, May 16th at 12:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella Grasso Blvd., New Haven.
