Enriqueta (Muñoz) Sánchez

Enriqueta Muñoz Sánchez, 77 of New Haven died suddenly on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side. Enriqueta was born in Panama City, Panama on February 27, 1943, a daughter of the late Enrique Muñoz and the late Torivia del Gado, and had lived in the Bronx, NY for fifteen years before moving to New Haven in 1998. She was a retired seamstress, and worked for many years in the garment district in New York City. Enriqueta is survived by two daughters, Tahinee Sánchez and Nicole (Constain Jaramillo) Sánchez of New Haven, two sons, Israel (Salina) López of Savannah, TN and Peter López of New Haven, and nine grandchildren, Isaac, Scarlet, Antonio, Dishawn, Tasha, Carlos, Aysha, Diana and Swayze Gray. She was predeceased by her brother, Jorge Luís Velez. Enriqueta's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
