Elizabeth Ortíz

Elizabeth Ortíz, 55, of New Haven died suddenly on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Elizabeth was born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico on February 9, 1966, a daughter of the late Angel Manuel Ortíz and the late Maria Isabel Martínez, and had resided in New Haven for the past thirty one years. She is survived by her daughter Liz Marie Santos and her husband Julius Soto, and her son Roberto L. Santos of New Haven, four sisters, Wendy Ortíz and her husband Thomas Waley of Hamden, Brunilda Castillo and her husband Raul Castillo of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Elena Ortíz and her husband Wilfredo Rodríguez of New Haven and Aida Ortíz and her husband Ramón Nuñez of Aibonito, two brothers, Noel Ortíz of Bridgeport and Manuel Ortíz of Aibonito, five grandchildren, Julius and Jaynaliz Soto, Zilmary Perales, and Giovany and Angeliz Santos. She was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Angel Manuel Santos, and two sisters, Maria Ortíz and Maria Ortíz Martínez, Elizabeth's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, September 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
