Edward George Kronberg IV, of East Haven, Connecticut lovingly known as “Shaggy,” was born on October 8, 1985, in Basingstoke, England, to Susan Jette (Thomas Jette) of Meriden and Keith Kronberg (Phyllis Kronberg) of East Haven. He passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and those whose lives he deeply touched.
Edward was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Alison Kronberg Planz, and his cherished children, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Kronberg and Kaiden Edward Kronberg of East Haven, who were the center of his world.
He is also survived by his siblings Michael Jette of Meriden, Ian Kronberg of East Haven, Katrina Jette of Norfolk, VA, Ariel Jette of Meriden, Jillian Kronberg of East Haven, and Thomas Jette Jr. of Meriden, as well as many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss his presence. He was predeceased by his step-father, Thomas Jette, Sr.
Edward loved skateboarding, biking, snowboarding, video games, and music. He had a deep love for all things dark and macabre, carried with the kind of humor and personality that made people gravitate toward him instantly.
Edward will be remembered for the love he gave to his family, the memories he created, and the lasting mark he left on the hearts of those who knew him. Though his passing leaves a silence difficult to fill, his spirit lives on in the people who loved him most.
Forever loved, forever missed, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew him. And if Uncle Shaggy were here, he’d probably tell us to stop all that crying nonsense, crack an inappropriate joke, and remind us to keep laughing anyway.
It's only forever, Not long at all.
Funeral arrangements for Edward were private and were entrusted to the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. washingtonmemorialfh.com
