Dolores Joyce (Attanasio) Boffa, 93 of Cheshire, CT, formerly of North Haven, CT died peacefully at Vitas Hospice Care, Waterbury on Friday, September 20, 2024. She was the beloved wife of fifty four years to the late Anthony G. Boffa. Dolores was born in New Haven, CT on July 12, 1931, a daughter of the late Anthony and Doris (Corrone) Attanasio, and had resided in North Haven for sixty six years before moving to Cheshire last year. She was the principal secretary at North Haven High School for thirty years, retiring in 1992. Dolores was a 1949 graduate of Commercial High School in New Haven, a long-time parishioner of St. Therese Church and a former member of their Ladies’ Guild. She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Maiorana and her husband James of Cheshire and Cynthia Walker and her husband Michael of Guilford, and her granddaughter Kaitlyn Bonfiglio and her husband Harris of North Haven.
Dolores’ family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Thursday, September 26th at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Therese Church (St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish), 555 Middletown Ave., North Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
