Dianilda (Mora Aroyo) Rodríguez

Dianilda Rodríguez, 71, of New Haven, CT died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice, Branford on Thursday, March 6th, 2025 with her loving family by her side. Dianilda was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico on July 25, 1953, a daughter of the late José Miguel Mora and the late Edith Arroyo, and moved to New Haven in 1986. She was a teacher's aid at Columbus School in the Fair Haven section of New Haven for nine years until 1996, and had previously worked as a teacher's aid in Arecibo, Puerto Rico for two years.

Dianilda is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Michael) Berrios of New Haven, Lisbette (Luís) de la Cruz of Hamden and Lizmarie Rodríguez of East Haven, two sisters, Ana Celia Cabrera of Orlando, FL and Zoraida (Alex) del Gabo of New Jersey, two brothers, Rafael (Gladys) Mora of Staten Island, NY and Luís Enrique (Mije) Mora of Pennsylvania, eight grandchildren, Michael Berrios, Jr., Jason and Alana Berrios, Luís de la Cruz, Jr., and Naysa, Nayla, Michael and Giovanni Tamborini, two great-granddaughters, Analiz and Holly Berrios, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by three brothers, Jorge Luís, José Miguel and Miguel Angel Mora.

Dianlida's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place during visitation time. Burial will be private. washingtonmemorialfh.com
