Dennis Joseph Tutor

Dennis Joseph Tutor, 78, of Northford crossed over on Sunday, September 12, 2021 after a valiant two year struggle with lung cancer. Dennis, the beloved husband of Joan Washko Tutor for fifty three years, was born in Bridgeport on January 3, 1943. He was the son of the late Joseph and Jenny (Janocko) Tutor. He is survived by his beloved brother-in-law Richard Washko of Shelton, and uncle of Damien (Laura) King of Manassas, VA and Arlo (Chantelle) King of Denver, CO. Dennis was predeceased by his sister, Ann Marie King and brother, Robert Tutor. Dennis served his country in the U.S. Air Force for four years. Prior to his retirement, he was a systems analyst for Armstrong-Pirelli, and later a proprietor of Northford Home Video (which he enjoyed immensely). Dennis was a passionate golfer who enjoyed rounds and Florida vacations with his pals Hank, Tom, John, Bob C .and Bob P. He was an avid fan of the NY Mets, NY Giants, and UConn Women’s Basketball. He enjoyed family and friends, cooking, reading, sudoko, crosswords, the Mohegan Sun, winter trips to Florida, Devil Dogs and Tootsie Pops. Calling hours will be on Saturday, September 25th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Burial will be private.
