Denisse González Acosta, 53, of Meriden, CT, formerly of East Haven, CT died suddenly on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. Denisse was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on May 25, 1969, a daughter of the late Virgilio González and the late Maria A. Rosado. She had resided in East Haven for twenty five years, before moving to Meriden three years ago. Denisse was a Community Service Representative Specialist for the State of Connecticut, Department of Labor for the past eleven years, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College, New Haven in 2006. She is survived by a son, Elijah Acosta, two daughters, Bianka Ruth Acosta and Amanda (Thomas) Small, and a grandson, Thomas Small, Jr. of East Haven, two sisters, Ruth (Manuel) Martínez of East Haven and Daisy (Efrain) Urbina of West Haven, her former husband, Sammy Acosta of East Haven, one niece, Amy (Keiron) Jerome of Raleigh, NC, three nephews, Miguel (Brooke) Martínez of North Branford and Adrian and Alexander Urbina of West Haven, and many loving cousins and friends. Denisse’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
