Daniel Guillermo

Daniel Guillermo, 72 of New Haven died peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Carmen Miranda. Daniel was born in Paute, Asuaiy, Ecuador on February 11, 1948, a son of the late Maria Guillermo and had resided in New York City for twenty years before moving to New Haven a short time ago. He worked in the meat industry in NYC. In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by four daughters, Maria Guillermo and Liliana Guillermo of Paute, Ecuador, Rosa Guillermo of New York City and Lourdes Guillermo and her husband Edgar Cordova of New Haven, four sons, Angel (Rosa) Guillermo, Julio Guillermo, Pablo (Maria la Rubio) Guillermo, and Marco Guillermo, all of Paute, two sisters, Olimpia (Manuel Orellano) Lazo, and Ines Lazo of Paute, five brothers, Daniel (Maria) Lazo and José (Miriam) Lazo of New York City, and Juan (Rosa) Lazo, Enrique (Matilde) Lazo and Gabriel (Diocelina) Lazo of Paute. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by one sister, Lia Lazo, and one brother, Julio Lazo. Daniel's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, May 2nd from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
