Daniel Cartagena

Daniel Cartagena, 54, of New Haven died suddenly at his home on Monday, September 27, 2021. Daniel was born in New Haven on October 3, 1966, a son of Pedro Cartagena of New Haven and the late Carmen Gutierrez, and was a lifelong city resident. In addition to his father, Daniel is survived by his two children Daniel (Diana) Cartagena and Haydeeliz Cartagena of New Haven, four brothers, Pedro (Irma) Cartagena of Cayey, Puerto Rico, William Cartagena of Moodus, CT, Miguel (Ruth) Cartagena of New Haven and José Cartagena of Buffalo, NY, three grandchildren, Anaya Victoria Cartagena, Isabela Adelle Meléndez and Everlee Joy Cobos, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a brother Edwin Cartagena. Daniel's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home during visitation. Everyone is invited to join Daniel's family on Tuesday, October 5th at 10:00 a.m. for a committal service which will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella Grasso Blvd., New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
