Clotilda “Cloie” Dorothy Bava Landino, 85, of Hamden died peacefully on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her husband by her side. She was the beloved wife of sixty four years to Alfred “Fred” Landino. Cloie was born in New Haven on May 19, 1936, a daughter of the late John and Rose Cavallaro Bava, and had resided in Hamden since 1962. She was a former member of the Hamden Women’s Club and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She previously worked at Sunshine Pre-School in Hamden, and was a big fan of the UCONN Huskies Women’s Basketball Team. In addition to her husband, Cloie is survived by her daughter Laura Landisio and her husband Alexander of Guilford, her son, John Landino of Hamden, four grandchildren, Lauren (Nicholas) Iannini, Joseph (Jessica) Landisio, Matthew Landino and Kevin Landino, two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Layla, plus another great-granddaughter due in December, three sisters, Pauline Canelli of Cheshire, Ann Rosello of Hamden and Rosalie Germe and her husband Gennaro of East Haven, and serveral nieces and nephews. Cloie’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 23rd from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 12:40 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
