Christopher Gorczynski, 30, of New Haven, unexpectedly entered eternal rest on Friday, August 19, 2022. Born and raised in New Haven, CT, he completed his schooling at Southern Connecticut State University, where he earned his degree in Computer Science. He started his career with Richemont North America in 2016, where he worked in IT and technical support. Those who knew Chris knew him to be kind, generous, funny, and dependable, but he was also a creator, and jack of al trades. He needed to know how something worked, and he wouldn’t stop until he figured it out. He had such a passion for learning and fixing things. His determination was like no other. He self-taught himself vehicle mechanics, became an impressive cook, and was even on his way to becoming an excellent baker. With a brilliant mind like his, there was nothing he couldn’t do. Chris viewed the world in such a way that his curiosity and perspective on everything made him so unique. Though quiet and mild in nature, even in silence his presence spoke a thousand words. He loved to make people laugh, and even if his corny jokes didn’t resonate with you, his smile and laugh were still infectious. Chris was the most dependable person. He would stop what he was doing to help anyone in need. He truly would give a stranger the shirt off his back. He cared for everyone, and loved his family dearly; his parents, fiancé, brothers and sisters; both through blood and union. He is survived by his mother Zofia Gorczynska and fiancé Ana Juarez, seven siblings: Justyna, Andrzej, Dariusz (Yahayra), Zdzislaw (Vania), Anna (Alexi), Dorota (Matthew), and Piotr, and his second family Anselmo Juarez, Alejandra Torres, Jasmin, Andy, Raychel and Alyssa. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Jason, Justin, Jade, Ethan, Sofia, Logan, Julia, Emilia, Edwin and Edgar. Though his loss will be forever felt, he was welcomed at the gates of Heaven by his father Stanislaw, and his grandparents Jozef and Marianna Gwiazda and Roch and Zofia Gorczynski. In Christopher’s memories, we find peace and solace. Chris’ family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 24th from 9:15 to 11;15 a.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. His funeral procession will leave form the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. in St. Stanislaus Church, 9 Eld St., New Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
