Catherine Irene (Fagan) Clark

Catherine Irene Clark (Fagan), 98, of Wallingford, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden. Kay, as she was known to many was born in New Haven on March 12, 1925, to James Fagan and Catherine Fagan (Wadzuk). She is predeceased by her husband Albert Clark (1987) and her brothers Christopher (1981), Walter (2007) and Edward (2014). She is survived by her son Douglas Clark and his wife Maria of Wallingford, and her four grandchildren, Lindsey Clark (Mansfield), Lauren Clark (Washington, DC), Leeann Clark (Wallingford) and Thomas Clark (Wallingford). Kay was a founding member of the Northford Acres Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary, where she dedicated many hours to the organization as it was being built. She was also an active member of the New Haven Racoon Club for many years. One of Kay’s proudest achievements was the home she and Albert built in Northford Acres in 1952 where she enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Her favorite pastimes were bingo, crocheting, playing cards with friends and tag sales. She most enjoyed cooking and spoiling her grand kids and family pets. The family would like to thank the Connecticut Baptist Homes, Midstate Hospital & Hospice, and the Wallingford Senior Center-Memory Lane for making Catherine’s later years as comfortable as possible – thank you all for your care and compassion. Kay’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 13th at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in Northford Cemetery, 27 Spruce Street, Northford.
